Blackjack Switch

Key Differences from Classic Blackjack

01

Mandatory Two-Hand Play

In Blackjack Switch, players are required to play two hands simultaneously, placing two equal bets. The key feature is the ability to swap the second cards between hands to create more favorable combinations. In classic blackjack, each hand is played independently, and card swapping is impossible.

02

Blackjack Payout

Blackjack in Blackjack Switch pays out at a ratio of 1:1 (even money), rather than the traditional 3:2 as in the classic version. This rule compensates for the player’s advantage from the ability to swap cards and is one of the key changes that preserves the casino’s edge.

03

The “Dealer-22-Push” Rule

The most significant difference is that when the dealer reaches exactly 22 points, it is not considered a bust. Instead, the result is declared a push with all players who have 21 points or less, except for a player’s natural blackjack. In classic blackjack, 22 points for the dealer means a bust and an automatic win for all remaining players in the game.
